Paul reminded Timothy of the one thing he needed in the midst of his ministry: to be strong through the grace that God had given him through Jesus Christ. Timothy was struggling in his role, so Paul pointed Timothy to look to the examples of the soldier, the athlete and the farmer. Each of these points ultimately to Christ, and Christ has returned from the dead. Remember what God has given to YOU.
