This week John examines Ephesians 4 and the gift of leadership for the Body of Christ.
For Personal Reflection/Small Group Discussion
Think about and discuss:
-
- When you think about Scottsbluff…what do you “see”?
- When you think about your place of employment, as you walk through the grocery store or your neighborhood, as you observe social media…what do you “see”? What is your typical emotional response?
- Read all of Mark 6, asking God to use it to: “teach you what is true…make you realize what is wrong with your lives…correct you when you are wrong, and teach you to do what is right…to prepare and equip [you] to do every good work” (Timothy 3:16-17).
- Focus on Mark 6:30-34.
- What was Jesus’ emotional response to the need around him?
- How is his response like or unlike your response to the need around you? Why?
- What did Jesus do in response to his emotion of compassion?
- Why did he “teach”?
- Focus on Mark 6:30-34.
- Read through Ephesians 4- how does this influence your understanding of the role of leadership at WestWay?
